For this week’s blog, I’m excited to share some highlights from our recent book drive, hosted by our founder, Riya Kalapurakkal. In collaboration with the wonderful folks at Southeast Michigan and KinderCare, we collected over 50 books to donate to the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. It’s been a heartwarming journey that perfectly reflects our love for reading!

Growing up, Kalapurakkal was the kid you’d find buried in a pile of books at the library, checking out as many stories as she could carry. Her own bookshelf was a treasure trove of adventures that sparked her imagination and provided comfort. She knows firsthand how powerful books can be, especially for kids who might not have easy access to them.

That’s what inspired her to create this book drive! She wanted to ensure that young patients at the hospital could escape into different worlds through reading, even if just for a little while. A good book can make such a difference during tough times, and we wanted to spread that joy.

In the end, Kalapurakkal’s book drive is all about sharing that love for reading and making sure every child has the chance to dive into a new adventure. Each book we donated represents hope, imagination, and the possibility of better days ahead. Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen!
