Riya Kalapurakkal - CEO, Founder
Riya Kalapurakkal is a senior at Plymouth High School and the founder of Orion Finance, an organization she launched in June 2023 to address the lack of personal finance education in her local underprivileged community. Over the past years, Riya has also been a dedicated leader with the nonprofit SJ5K, playing a key role in raising thousands of dollars to support local families in need. She also enjoys volunteering at her local library and helping kids learn early literacy skills.
In addition to her community service, Riya is deeply involved in various academic pursuits. She is an active member of HOSA, where she has been recognized at the state level and has competed internationally. Riya is also passionate about teaching, running - as a 5-year Varsity Cross-Country athlete, and spending time reading. She is excited about the future of Orion Finance and looks forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact.

Orion was founded in 2023 with one main goal: to promote financial literacy within our local community. We understand the lack of resources available when it comes to learning about money management, and we have made it our mission to bridge that gap. As a non-profit organization, we are dedicated to helping people improve their financial lives without any hidden fees or agendas.
Since our inception, we have been providing free educational resources and workshops to anyone who needs them. We believe that everyone deserves financial freedom and we strive to make that a reality for as many people as possible.
